Director Abhinay shuns Tollywood Film ‘Magadheera’ remake

After the stupendous success of his directorial film ‘Delhi Belly’ last year, Director Abhinay Deo was recently offered the opportunity to direct the remake of South Indian hit ‘Magadheera’. The film is produced by Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Behl and Vikramaditya Motwane’s recently launched production house ‘Phantom’. But it seems that the ‘Delhi Belly’ director was not too excited for the offer and decided to modestly turn it down.

“I felt that the project was not something that I’d like to take up now. Although I am aware of its super success but still I think I am not prepared to take a film of such a high magnitude,” said Abhinay. The original was directed by SS Rajamouli but as far as the Hindi remake is concerned the director’s seat is currently vacant.
