The trailer launch of the digitalised version of 1963 Sivaji Ganesan classic Karnan took place in Chennai on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, actor - director Cheran said, ' Don’t keep Sivaji Ganesan and MGR's timeless classic titles for the present crop of movies.
Today, anyone can act in films irrespective of whether you have acting talent or not.
So, by keeping the titles of Sivaji Ganesan and MGR’s films, the present filmmakers are bringing disrespect to them'.
Sivaji’s son and producer Ramkumar, director Panthulu’s daughter B R Vijayalakshmi, actor Sridhar, singer P Susheela, musician T K Ramamoorthy were present on the occasion.
